Z-FLEX is a partially stabilized material of the TZP type (Tetragonal Zirconia Polycristals).

Its composition includes about 94% zirconium dioxide (ZrO 2 / HfO2), about 5% yttrium oxide (Y2 O3) and <1% aluminum oxide
(Al2O3).

The aluminum oxide content also serves to increase strength.
A novelty in the field of dental zirconium dioxides is the addition of an additional co-stabilizer,
thanks to which the material has a base elasticity higher than about 30% and therefore
significantly lower susceptibility to traction than comparable products.
In addition to the fabrication of conventional indications, such as copings and bridges,
Z-FLEX is especially suitable for the fabrication of substructures, implant bars and natural dentition.
